Spoonful of What?

Gift box and care package company Spoonful of Comfort needed creative as fresh and gourmet as their soup, rolls, and cookies.

  • Spoonful needed to walk a fine line of humor and joy, while keeping in mind the sensitive situations some of their gift boxes may be sent for
  • There's a lot of story behind the brand, and the question became how to tell that story well.
  • Spoonful needed a social presence, stat.
  • The time between final product proofs and launch was slim. Content had to be done quick.

Spoonful of Creative.

I worked on dozens of projects with Spoonful of Comfort including a long-form video series "Spoonful of Kindness" that highlighted the moments and scenarios their gift box fit perfectly into. Social posts went from a weekly to a daily thing, and I helped them implement a DAM system for their rapidly expanding content library.

  1. Created and produced several long and short-form webseries for Spoonful including Random Acts of Kindness.
  2. Worked alongside Spoonful's marketing team to develop rich and heartfelt storytelling techniques that aligned with the brand.
  3. Photographed and filmed thousands of content pieces including UGC, Tiktoks, Reels, and social.
  4. Rapid-fire turnaround, with product photography snapped and done within 48 hours.

Result

During my time contracting with Spoonful, they expanded into larger offices not once, but twice. Their product sales more than doubled, social presence tripled, and their advertising expanded into platforms beyond social, including TV.

“Andrew was an instrumental part of the Spoonful Creative team. He deeply understood the brand and our goals, and nailed it almost every time.” - Megan Fulton, Marketing
